and i replied…
(quoted below with some editing)
blog is a nebulous thing though the goodness of a blog piece would depend on the context of the blog and what its about.
So, theres writing itself, which i would define as how well you are able to convey your ideas, and communicate to your audience what is in your head. rather than stuff like grammar or wtv.
then that leads us into your audience, is it wide? then you might use unnuanced language, but by doing that you lose nuance you would have with a nuanced audience where you could use more nuanced language to convey nuanced ideas with more nuance.
and so finally your audience is based on what your goals are;
are you trying to monetize the blog? cast a wide net.
you don’t care about money and are doing this to find like minded people to talk about cool stuff you share? go narrower.
or perhaps it’s not even about an audience and functions more like a public journal. something that gives you you a voice.
TLDR: the framework is dependant on you and your goals.

Lazy post, i know. but I’m trying to build this as a habit before I optimize its quality. and that means pumping iron. and thinking of common occurrences as prompts for a post.
but, this got me wondering why I’m doing this?
and currently idk yet, at the moment its functioning more as a public journal. but idk if itll stay that way. i guess im allowing myself to experiment with this new medium. though currently i know i dont want to pressure this with money even if the idea of making money off my reddit comments is appealing.
